Meet Cara Boileau, Trauma, Anxiety, and Grief Therapist in Orlando, FL
Release the weight of the past and find peace within yourself.
Are you ready to stop living for others and start living for you?
Life doesn't feel the way you imagined. It's like the world is ending and you're just trying to survive. You feel alone and isolated, even when you're surrounded by people. You're always cracking jokes and keeping smiles on everyone's faces, but inside you're falling apart.
You hate being seen as the bad guy, so you sacrifice your own needs to keep the peace. You overthink everything and are afraid to push people away. When problems arise, you bury your head in the sand and hope they go away.
You're tired of giving and giving without getting anything back. You’re ready to let go of the people-pleasing and enter your villain era because frankly, you have no fucks left to give. It’s time to leave all that behind and live your life on your own terms.
If so, you’re in the right place.
I am here to help you find the courage to be yourself.
I work with clients who are looking to gain clarity, become more confident, and deepen their connection to themselves and others. I understand that it can be difficult to be authentic and vulnerable, especially when we've been taught to put others' needs before our own. But I believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling life, and I'm here to help you get there.
Clients choose to work with me because…
-
My clients tend to enjoy my casual and unconventional style, where sarcasm, geek culture, and new age topics are seamlessly woven into the healing process for an authentic and very human connection. They appreciate that I am honest and straightforward and won’t sugarcoat things because they want someone to call them out on their B.S. They understand that facing the truth is necessary for meaningful change – we’ve got to name it to tame it and feel it to heal it. They also want someone who will celebrate their wins, no matter how small… and I’ve got my pompoms ready. I believe in progress over perfection.
-
Together, we'll develop a therapy experience tailored to your unique needs and goals. I'll use my expertise and experience to guide you on your journey, but you'll always be in the driver's seat. After all, I know that you’re the expert on your own life. I'm just here to help you tap into your expertise and develop the tools you need to cope with challenges, build healthier relationships, and live a life that is true to you.

I'm the therapist who will help you find your inner badass and take on the world. If you’ve been to therapy before, it may have felt more like talking to a wall than digging into your issues. The subtle nods and “How does that make you feel?” Sure, it was nice to vent, but those worksheets didn't take you where you wanted to go. Traditional talk therapy can be helpful, but it's not the right fit for everyone. Maybe you’re looking for something different, or something deeper. I'm here to help you explore your inner world, discover the unconscious patterns that are keeping you stuck, and learn to make sense of those big emotions you typically try to avoid. What if you could see your emotions as your guiding force, rather than something you needed to hide or fix? During our time together we can get curious about the parts of you that need your attention most and help you to feel whole again.
So what can you expect from therapy with me?
Together we will…
Start by getting to know each other and talking about your goals for therapy.
Explore your thoughts, feelings, and past experiences in a safe and supportive space.
Work together to develop coping skills and strategies for dealing with life’s challenges.
Celebrate your successes along the way.
But most importantly, we'll have fun. Therapy doesn't have to be serious all the time. I think it's important to be able to laugh and enjoy ourselves, even when we're dealing with difficult things.
Why work with me?
I believe that lasting change is possible.
My training in a variety of trauma therapies, including hypnotherapy and somatic therapy, means I have the expertise you need and deserve when dealing with anxiety or trauma.
Together, we can help you to escape survival mode, understand what your emotions are trying to tell you, and feel safe in your body again.
But what if you could have a therapist who didn’t just talk the talk, but walked the walk…
Through my own journey of healing and self-discovery, I have gained a deep understanding of the human experience, including suffering. I am committed to bringing compassion and empathy to my work with clients, and to helping them find their own path to healing.
My guiding principles
Curiosity
Curiosity opens the door to new ideas and perspectives. When we're curious, we're more likely to listen, learn, and grow. Together, we can explore your stories with compassion, identify and challenge unhelpful patterns, and discover new ways to relate to yourself and others.
Connection
Feeling disconnected from yourself, your relationships, or your life's purpose can lead to confusion, resentment, and despair. I'm here to help you bring life back into balance by guiding you to reconnect with your inner wisdom, build stronger relationships, and live a more intentional and fulfilling life.
Vulnerability
Owning your story can be hard, but running from it can be even more painful. I believe that vulnerability is essential for healing and growth, so I'm here to create a safe space where you can share the deepest parts of yourself without judgment. Sometimes I’ll share pieces of my own journey to help you feel connected and understood.
Inclusivity
As a queer NeuroSpicy (IYKYK) therapist, I understand what it’s like to feel different and I believe that you deserve to feel welcome, valued, and respected. I am committed to creating a space where you can thrive, regardless of your race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other factors that make you you.
Why Eclipse?
Painful experiences can darken our world and leave us feeling powerless. After trauma, loss, breakups, or getting a new diagnosis, we may struggle to connect with our inner light through the shadow of hurt. An eclipse is like that moment when the light of your soul is temporarily obscured. You may feel lost, confused, or even scared. But it's also a time to turn inward and connect with your deeper self.
Just as the sun and moon can be hidden, so too can our own brilliance. But even in the darkest of times, we have the power to shine from within. We are reminded to connect with our inner selves and ask ourselves what we're hiding and what we're ready to reveal. We are encouraged to embrace our shadow selves, even the parts that we find scary. After all, even the moon has a dark side.
This is a time of great change and transformation, where nothing is permanent and even the darkest of nights will eventually give way to dawn. So, even if you're feeling lost in the darkness now, I believe your inner light is still there, waiting to shine forth. I am here to help you find it.
